Provides that the Department of Public Health shall ensure that any physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches or health care provider who sees or treats children 6 years of age or younger shall assess those children for their access to unsecured firearms when those children reside in a home that has firearms. Provides that children residing in a home that does not contain firearms shall be evaluated for risk by the Childhood Firearm Access Risk Questionnaire developed by the Department and assessed if indicated.
