| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Raymond G. "Ray" Culley of Silvis, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 9, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ray Culley was born to Fred G. and Odetta F. |
| 6 | | (Hibbs) Culley in Hampton on September 3, 1938; he served in |
| 7 | | the U.S. Navy;
he married Nadine S. Snyder at the First |
| 8 | | Methodist Church in East Moline on September 27, 1959; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ray Culley worked as a photographer for the Rock |
| 10 | | Island Arsenal for over 30 years; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ray Culley was a founding member of Faith Walk |
| 12 | | World Outreach Center, where he volunteered in every capacity; |
| 13 | | he taught Children's Ministry for 35 years; he started and |
| 14 | | worked the Tuesday free meals program Spirit, Soul & Body |
| 15 | | Outreach for 17 years; most recently, he was a coordinator of |
| 16 | | The Oasis in East Moline; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Ray Culley was a loving father, grandfather, and |
| 18 | | great-grandfather; he was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Ray Culley was preceded in death by his wife; his |
| 20 | | parents; and his brother, Richard; and
