| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Kenneth L. Guldenpfennig of Moline, |
| 4 | | who passed away on October 19, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Guldenpfennig was born to Clarence and |
| 6 | | Gladys Jacobs Guldenpfennig in Moline on January 30, 1928; he |
| 7 | | graduated from Moline High School; he served in the U.S. Navy |
| 8 | | during World War II, where he received the World War II Victory |
| 9 | | Medal; he married Dianne at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in |
| 10 | | Moline on December 9, 1966; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Guldenpfennig was the manager of the |
| 12 | | Moline Building Center for many years; he and his wife owned |
| 13 | | and operated the Pleasant Ridge Resort and Maplewood Resort, |
| 14 | | both in Minnesota; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Guldenpfennig was a member of Holy Cross |
| 16 | | Lutheran Church, where he previously served as an elder; he |
| 17 | | was past president of the Moline Kiwanis Club and was a member |
| 18 | | of numerous other clubs, including the East End Club and The |
| 19 | | Club (Travel); and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Kenneth Guldenpfennig enjoyed golfing, playing |
| 21 | | rolle bolle, traveling, and painting; his favorite memories |
