| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Danny L. Miner of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on May 17, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Danny Miner was born to Frank and Kathryn |
| 6 | | (Pickett) Miner in Tacoma, Washington on February 2, 1952; he |
| 7 | | was raised in Rainier, Washington until his family moved to |
| 8 | | Tooele, Utah when he was 10 years old; he graduated from Tooele |
| 9 | | High School in 1970; after attending the University of Utah |
| 10 | | for one year, he joined the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1971 |
| 11 | | to 1975; following his honorable discharge, he graduated from |
| 12 | | Weber State College in Ogden, Utah; he married Stefani Green |
| 13 | | in Davenport, Iowa on June 20, 1987, and they raised their |
| 14 | | daughter and son in Moline; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Danny Miner began his career working for the U.S. |
| 16 | | Government shortly after graduating from college; he worked at |
| 17 | | the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, later transferring to |
| 18 | | the Tooele Army Depot; he retired as an ammunition logistics |
| 19 | | manager from the Rock Island Arsenal after 34 years; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Danny Miner was an accomplished bowler, an avid |
| 21 | | record collector, and a devoted family man; he participated, |
| 22 | | either by coaching or cheering, in his children's every |
