| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Earl W. Schwabe of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 29, 2022; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Earl Schwabe was born to Earl and Dolly |
| 6 | | (Galbraith) Schwabe in Thompsonville on October 5, 1935; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Karen |
| 8 | | J. in Moline on December 30, 1960; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Earl Schwabe was first employed as the |
| 10 | | superintendent of Goetz Construction for 30 years, retiring in |
| 11 | | 1992; later, he and his wife owned and operated Sunshine |
| 12 | | Luxury Tours and enjoyed taking people on great tours for 25 |
| 13 | | years; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Earl Schwabe committed to his faith as a young |
| 15 | | teenager and lived a life of integrity and service to others; |
| 16 | | he was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Rock Island, |
| 17 | | where he served as a Sunday School teacher for the boys' class, |
| 18 | | and was a deacon at the former Moline Gospel Temple for 30 |
| 19 | | years; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Earl Schwabe loved to golf and fish; above all, |
| 21 | | he loved his family; and
