| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Melvin C. Staley of Milan, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 18, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Melvin Staley was born in Gilchrist on September |
| 6 | | 16, 1938; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Melvin Staley was the son of Clarence Walter |
| 8 | | Staley and Ruby L. Kannenberg Staley; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Melvin Staley served in the U.S. Navy; therefore, |
| 10 | | be it
|
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
| 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 13 | | Melvin Staley and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 15 | | further

| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 17 | | presented to the family of Melvin Staley as an expression of |
| 18 | | our deepest sympathy.
