SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Raymond "Ray" T. Doeckel Jr. of 
4Silvis, who passed away on December 11, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Doeckel was born to Raymond T. Sr. and 
6Rosalie (DeVinck) Doeckel in Rock Island on February 16, 1941; 
7he graduated from Alleman High School in 1959 and served in the  
8U.S. Army; he married Maria Lourdes Pompa at Our Lady of 
9Guadalupe Church, Silvis on May 13, 1967; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ray Doeckel retired from John Deere Parts in 
11Milan; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Ray Doeckel enjoyed watching dirt track races and 
13was a huge dog lover; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Ray Doeckel was preceded in death by his son, 
15Norman, and his brother, Maurice; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Ray Doeckel is survived by his wife, Maria; his 
17son, Mark (Tracy) Doeckel; his grandchildren, Heather Davis 
18and Shalome Johnson; his cousins, Joan, Darlene, Bob, and 
19Linda; his  many brothers and sisters-in-laws; and his nieces 
20and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Raymond "Ray" T. Doeckel and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Ray Doeckel as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
