| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Clinton J. "Clint" Herdegen of Hoffman |
| 4 | | Estates, who passed away on November 22, 2021; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Clint Herdegen was born on December 29, 1959; he |
| 6 | | graduated from John Hersey High School; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Clint Herdegen spent most of his law enforcement |
| 8 | | career in Hoffman Estates; he joined the department in 1981 |
| 9 | | when he was 21; he started his career as a patrolman and became |
| 10 | | police chief in 1998; he served as Hoffman Estates Police |
| 11 | | Chief for 12 years and played a key role in the design of a new |
| 12 | | police station; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Clint Herdegen was hired to be police chief for |
| 14 | | Libertyville in September of 2010, where he helped consolidate |
| 15 | | the village's 911 dispatch center with Vernon Hills and |
| 16 | | created a school resource officer position; he was honored by |
| 17 | | Libertyville officials for his 40 years in law enforcement |
| 18 | | with a special proclamation; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Clint Herdegen served as president of the |
| 20 | | Northern Illinois Police Alarm System, chairman of the |
| 21 | | Northwest Police Academy, and president of the Northeastern |
