SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Jeanie Cyr of Peoria, who passed away 
4on October 21, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was born to Ted and Sylvia (Gilliatt) 
6Kalley in Metamora on December 16, 1958; she graduated from 
7Metamora Township High School in 1977 and then received her 
8degree in marketing from Illinois State University; she 
9married Denis Cyr at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria on 
10August 22, 1987; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr worked in sales at WEEK for 25 years 
12and then in radio; she most recently worked for Adams Outdoor 
13Advertising; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was a member of Northwoods Community 
15Church; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr loved fashion and enjoyed traveling, 
17working out, and socializing with friends; she was a dedicated 
18mother and will be dearly missed by many; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr was preceded in death by her parents; 
20and

1    WHEREAS, Jeanie Cyr is survived by her husband of more 
2than 34 years, Denis; her two daughters, Gabrielle and Bella 
3Cyr; and her two brothers, Ron (Geni) Kalley and Tim (Jeanine) 
4Kalley; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Jeanie Cyr and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
8friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Jeanie Cyr as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
