SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Owen Kemper Shaker Petrzelka of Oak 
4Park, who passed away on October 6, 2020 at the age of six; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Owen Petrzelka was brave, calm, mindful, and 
6wise; he was a proud Horace Mann Elementary School Mustang; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Owen Petrzelka had an infectious giggle and was a 
9joyful presence to his loved ones; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Owen was protective of his younger siblings, 
11Sydney and Wyatt; and

  
 
12    WHEREAS, Owen Petrzelka settled two global debates; he 
13decided that hot dogs taste best when they are grilled and that 
14s'mores are the best dessert; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, In his six years, Owen Petrzelka touched and 
16inspired many lives and his community; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Owen Petrzelka was preceded in death by his 
18grandparents, Gerald and Patrice "Pat" Klonke; and

1    WHEREAS, Owen Petrzelka is survived by his parents, Adam 
2Petrzelka and Amanda Shaker; his younger siblings, Sydney and 
3Wyatt; his grandparents, Anthony and Lucy Shaker; his cousins; 
4and his friends; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Owen Kemper Shaker Petrzelka and extend our sincere 
8condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
9him; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Owen Petrzelka as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
