| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of George L. McMahon, who passed away on |
| 4 | | September 29, 2020 at the age of 98; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon was born on February 17, 1922; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon was a resident of Burr Ridge at |
| 7 | | the time of his passing; he also once called Brookfield and |
| 8 | | Berwyn home; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon was a World War II Navy Seabee, |
| 10 | | who served in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon was the longtime owner of McMahon |
| 12 | | Brothers Machine Works in Cicero; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 14 | | Lorraine, and his sister, Mary (Albert) Muisenga; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, George McMahon is survived by his son, Patrick M. |
| 16 | | McMahon, and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
