SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Myron A. Sergeant of Milan, who passed 
4away April 25, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was born in Walnut to Charles and 
6Maida Robinson Sergeant on July 9, 1931; he served in the U.S. 
7Army during  the Korean War and married Velma Rieker; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was a member of Plumbers and 
9Pipefitters Local 25 in Rock Island for 34 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed 
11bowling, collecting flashlights and fishing reels, and 
12dancing; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his sister, Joanne Garrison and her husband Guy; and 
15his niece, Anne Garrison; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Myron Sergeant is survived by his life companion, 
17Mary Young; his sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Brenda 
18Sergeant, Lawrence Sergeant, and Charles and Karen Sergeant; 
19his grandchildren, Kari Stewart, Scott Sergeant, Cody 
20Sergeant, Bradley (Cristina) Whitcomb, Cortney (Chuck) Leuth,

1and Zoey Sergeant; and nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Myron A. Sergeant and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Myron Sergeant as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
