SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Gerald "Jerry" D. Patz of Port Byron, 
4who passed away on December 5, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Patz was born to Harold and Marie 
6(Schneider) Patz  in Lake County, Indiana on June 14, 1936; he 
7served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jerry Patz worked as a laborer for Local 309 for 
939 years, retiring in 1995; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jerry Patz enjoyed hunting in his early years,  
11fishing, NASCAR, and local Quad Cities racing; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerry Patz was preceded in death by his parents; 
13his sister, Barbara; his brother, Arnold; and his son-in-law, 
14Randel Nance; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jerry Patz is survived by his daughter, Lynn 
16Nance; his son, Tom (Florence) Patz; his grandchildren, 
17Jessica (Keith) Hill, Amber Patz, TJ Patz, and Dustin Patz; 
18and his great-grandchildren, Alissa Patz, Ethan Ford, Kaylee 
19Hill,  Kody Hill, Alex Robinson, Dalton Patz, Maddax Commins,  
20Jorden Patz, and Mylee Patz; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Gerald "Jerry" D. Patz and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

7presented to the family of Jerry Patz as an expression of
our 
8deepest sympathy.
