HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, James "Jim" R. Street began his career with the 
3Normal Fire Department on June 1, 1999 and worked as an 
4EMT/fire fighter until 2007, when he entered and passed the 
5Paramedic program; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, In 2017, Jim Street was promoted to engineer; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Jim Street dedicated himself to keeping local 
8communities safe; during his career, he assisted in saving 
9many lives and delivered two babies; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jim Street has also been an active member of IAFF 
11Local 2442 and the AFFI Honor Guard, where he serves as the 
12Local 2442 Drill Captain; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, After serving the Normal Fire Department  with 
14honor and pride for 23 and a half years, Jim Street's  final 
15shift will be on November 12, 2022; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
17HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
18we commend James "Jim" R. Street for more than two decades of 
19dedicated service to the Normal community, and we wish him 
20well in all of his future endeavors; and be it further

1    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
2presented to Jim Street on the occasion of his retirement from 
3the Normal Fire Department.
