HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Bishop John H. Williams 
4of the New Shining Light Holiness, Deliverance 
5Non-Denominational Church on  40 years of pastoral service; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served as a  pastor for 
740 years and has been working within the church for 44 years, 
8giving unselfishly in a continuous effort to help others; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams has served both inside of 
10and outside of his community in many ways throughout the 
11years, including through the Food Outreach Ministry and food 
12drives and by providing encouragement and inspiration to those 
13who are incarcerated;  and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Bishop John Williams' most highlighted community 
15outreach event is his Christmas toy drive where he provides 
16over 500 families with free groceries, Christmas trees, and 
17toys; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, On October 1, 2022, Bishop John Williams will be 
19honored with a Black-Tie Affair/Wishing Well event; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, On October 9, 2022, the 40th pastoral anniversary

1of Bishop John Williams will be celebrated at New Shining 
2Light HDN Church in Venice, Illinois during the Sunday morning 
3worship service; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Bishop John H. Williams on his 40 years of 
7pastoral service; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Bishop John Williams as a symbol of our esteem and 
10respect.
