| 1 | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2521

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2521 as follows:
| ||||||
| 3 | on page 15, by replacing lines 10 through 19 with the | ||||||
| 4 | following: | ||||||
| 5 | "(10) to promise, threaten, or take any action: (i) to | ||||||
| 6 | permanently replace an employee who participates in a | ||||||
| 7 | lawful strike as provided under Section 17; (ii) to | ||||||
| 8 | discriminate against an employee who is working or has | ||||||
| 9 | unconditionally offered to return to work for the employer | ||||||
| 10 | because the employee supported or participated in such a | ||||||
| 11 | lawful strike; or (iii) to lockout, suspend, or otherwise | ||||||
| 12 | withhold employment from employees in order to influence | ||||||
| 13 | the position of such employees or the representative of | ||||||
| 14 | such employees in collective bargaining prior to a lawful | ||||||
| 15 | strike."; and | ||||||

| 1 | by replacing line 24 on page 31 through line 7 on page 32 with | ||||||
| 2 | the following: | ||||||
| 3 | "(12) Promising, threatening, or taking any action (i) | ||||||

(iii) to lockout, suspend, or | ||||||

| 13 | prior to a lawful strike."; and | ||||||
| 14 | on page 34, immediately below line 3, by inserting the | ||||||
| 15 | following: | ||||||
| 16 | "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon | ||||||
| 17 | becoming law.".
