Removes language providing that the Illinois Cannabis Regulation Oversight Officer is within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation under the Secretary of Financial and Professional Regulation. Provides that the Director of the Office of Cannabis Regulation and Oversight shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.
