Provides that a municipality with a population of over 100,000 in the 2020 Federal decennial census shall adopt a tree planting plan that identifies areas of canopy loss and creates a plan for protection or expansion of the tree canopy in the municipality. Provides that the tree planting plan must be adopted and implemented no later than 10 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act and that the implementation of the tree planting plan must be completed no later than 20 years after the effective date of the amendatory Act.
