SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Tom L. Proksch of Milan, who passed away 
4on August 19, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tom Proksch was born in Rock Island to Richard and 
6Lucille (Biebinger) Proksch on August 9, 1949; he served in the 
7U.S. Army during the  Vietnam War, which included three tours of 
8duty; he married Bonnie L. Swinford in Milan on September 29, 
91967; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Tom Proksch was a tool and die maker for 30 years 
11with J.I. Case/C.N.H.; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Tom Proksch enjoyed fishing and spending time with 
13his family and friends; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Tom Proksch was preceded in death by his parents; 
15eight sisters; and two brothers; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Tom Proksch is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his 
17son, Tom Proksch; his granddaughters, Lindsey and Alyssa 
18Proksch; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members; 
19and his special friend, Mark "Ollie" Thornton; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Tom L. Proksch and extend our sincere condolences to his  
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Tom Proksch as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
