SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William "Bill" Earl Donaldson of 
4Springfield, who passed away on July 8, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Donaldson was born to Earl and Opal 
6(Washington) Donaldson in Springfield on March 12, 1945; he was 
7a veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple 
8Heart; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bill Donaldson loved his dog, Missy, and  enjoyed 
10riding his Honda Motorcycle and watching Star Trek; he liked to 
11fix cars in his younger years, especially pickup trucks; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Donaldson was preceded in death by his 
13parents and his siblings, Gary Donaldson, Ruth Allen, Shirley 
14Harwood, and Velma McMurray; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill Donaldson is survived by his close friends, 
16Lisa Elfgen, Julia Elfgen, and Logan Elfgen and his many other 
17beloved friends in the community; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

20William  "Bill" Earl Donaldson and extend our sincere

1condolences to all who knew and loved
him; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

3presented to the family of Bill Donaldson as an expression of

4our deepest sympathy.
