| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph James Cannon of Bloomington, who |
| 4 | | passed away on April 16, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was born in Charleston, Missouri to |
| 6 | | Houston B. and Willie Mae Lewis Cannon on January 14, 1943; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Army; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was known as an excellent cook, |
| 9 | | singer, and artist; he enjoyed fishing and spending time with |
| 10 | | his family; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon was preceded in death by his parents |
| 12 | | and his son, Joey Cannon; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Cannon is survived by his children, Renee |
| 14 | | Oliver, Sonia Cannon, Shea Cannon, and Tracy Curlee; his |
| 15 | | siblings, Carl Cannon, Doris Woods, and Charles Harris; and his |
| 16 | | many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 | | Joseph James Cannon and extend our sincere condolences to his |
