| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Lawrence E. Gulley of Rock Island, who |
| 4 | | passed away on February 21, 2020; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gulley was born in Benton to Lawrence J. |
| 6 | | and Josie (Aaron) Gulley on May 11, 1936; he married Bettie |
| 7 | | McGuire in 1956; he served in the U.S. Air Force during the |
| 8 | | Korean War; he married Mary Gulley in 1995; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gulley worked as a union steward for |
| 10 | | Wonder Bread bakeries; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gulley was preceded in death by his |
| 12 | | spouses; his son, Marshall Gulley; his parents; and his |
| 13 | | brothers, Arthur, Donald, and Charles Gulley; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Lawrence Gulley is survived by his children, Trudy |
| 15 | | (Marty) Lawson, Becky (Larry) Thorndyke, Julie Miller, and John |
| 16 | | (Jacqueline) Gulley; his stepdaughter, Shelly; his 11 |
| 17 | | grandchildren; his 14 great-grandchildren, with one more on the |
| 18 | | way; and his siblings, Mabel Harvey, Bill Gulley, and Robert |
| 19 | | Gulley; therefore, be it
