| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Eugene Hunter Sr.; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was born to Flabe and Lucious Hunter |
| 5 | | in his maternal grandparents' home
in Hushpuckena, Mississippi
|
| 6 | | on September 9, 1951; his family moved to Chicago in 1953, and |
| 7 | | he attended Schiller and Manierre Elementary Schools; he |
| 8 | | completed his education at Beethoven Elementary School,
|
| 9 | | DuSable Upper Grade Center, and DuSable High School; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was a strong, loving, and caring big |
| 11 | | brother to seven younger siblings; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter committed to his faith at an early |
| 13 | | age; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | parents; his brother, Lucious Calmese; his sister, Delores; and |
| 16 | | his younger brother, Calvin; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter is survived by his daughters, |
| 18 | | Charmtell and Antoinette Taylor; his
son, Eugene Hunter Jr.; |
| 19 | | his sisters, Willie Ruth Calmese, Marilyn Davis, State Sen. |
| 20 | | Mattie Hunter,
Brenda Hunter, Bonita Ersery, and Angela Hunter; |
