SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gregory "Greg" C. Poquet of
Moline, who 
4passed away on January 1, 2020; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Greg was born May 27, 1949 in Rock Island to Royal 
6and Kathleen (Osler) Poquet; he married Karen Cone in Aledo on 
7December 2, 1980; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Greg served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam 
9War and retired from John Deere Harvester in East Moline; he 
10enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never 
11passed up a chance to go out to eat; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Greg is survived by his wife, Karen; children, 
13Bryan Poquet (Traci Southard), and Spencer Poquet (Matt 
14Speidel); grandchildren, James Speidel, Paige Southard, and 
15Autumn Southard; sisters, Marsha (Floyd) Roberts and Sharon 
16(Bill) Rottman; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Greg was preceded in death by his parents; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
