SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert F. "Bob" Scholtes Jr. of Joliet, 
4who passed away on December 26, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Scholtes was born in Joliet to Betty (Fugett) 
6and Robert Scholtes Sr. on November 14, 1957; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bob Scholtes was chief of the East Joliet Fire 
8Protection District since November of 1975; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Bob Scholtes was preceded in death by his father, 
10Robert Scholtes Sr.; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Scholtes was the beloved husband of Michele 
12(McGann); the loving father of Kathryn "Lynn" (Donrasoul) 
13Berry, Brandon (Jessica) Scholtes, Megan Scholtes, and Matthew 
14Scholtes; the cherished papa of Lauren, Leah, Alyah, Ziggy, and 
15Gevina Berry and Brayden, Autumn, and Ava Scholtes; the dear 
16brother of Daniel Scholtes, Timothy Scholtes, and Kenneth 
17(Sharon) Scholtes; the loved son-in-law of Thomas and Theodora 
18McGann; the brother-in-law of Thomas (Madelyn) McGann, the late 
19Kevin (Kimberly) McGann, and Steven (Rita) McGann; uncle to 
20numerous nieces and nephews; and cousin to many; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Robert F. "Bob" Scholtes Jr. and extend our sincere condolences 
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Bob Scholtes as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
