SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Walter Duane Ludwig of Rantoul, who 
4passed away on March 22, 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was born in Plymouth, Indiana  to 
6Walter and Marjorie (Feltz) Ludwig on February 3, 1932; he 
7married Amelia Sue Rector in Culver, Indiana on November 26, 
81954; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was a generous man who loved to make 
10people laugh; he was a jack-of-all-trades; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig was preceded in death by his 
12parents; his son, Andrew D. Ludwig; and his 
13great-granddaughter, Eloise; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Walter Ludwig is survived by his wife, Amelia; his 
15children, Anthony L. (Judy) Ludwig, Timothy A. (Connie) Ludwig, 
16Michelle D. (Jonathan) Jefferson, and Mathew D. (Kerry) Ludwig; 
17his grandchildren, Andrea, Andy (Kara), Kimberly (Ryan), 
18David, Amanda (Briggs), Emily (Michael), Mason (Meghan), 
19Mallory (Josh), Nicholas, Gavin, Landry, and Keely; his 
20great-grandchildren, Samantha, Sylus, Skylar, Grayson, 
21Sterling, Hazel, Everly, and Walter; his brothers, Paul (Kay)

1and Robert (Patricia) Ludwig; and several nieces and nephews; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Walter Duane Ludwig and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Walter Ludwig as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
