| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Marilyn Elizabeth McAulay, who passed |
| 4 | | away on December 18, 2018 at the age of 90; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn McAulay was born on April 3, 1928 and |
| 6 | | spent most of her life in Elmwood Park; she was a longtime |
| 7 | | member of the First United Church of Oak Park; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn McAulay was the co-founder of the Elmwood |
| 9 | | Park Civic Chorus and was active in the Mills Belles and Beaux; |
| 10 | | she was a member of the MacDowell Artists Association, a |
| 11 | | non-profit organization founded in 1934 which holds annual |
| 12 | | auditions for high school seniors in order to grant |
| 13 | | scholarships to help further their post-graduation musical |
| 14 | | studies, co-sponsors the Sing-Along Messiah, and holds |
| 15 | | musicales in the homes of members; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn McAulay was married for 65 years to the |
| 17 | | late Kenneth J. McAulay and was the sister of the late Jeanette |
| 18 | | (Roy) McSay; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn McAulay was the mother of James K. |
| 20 | | McAulay; the aunt of Dr. Robert (Ganka) McSay and Lawrence |
| 21 | | (Susan Gregerson) McSay; and the great-great-aunt of Alex, |
