SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dorothy Marie Such; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Dorothy Such was born in Chicago on February 20, 
51922; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, In 1953, Dorothy Such began work at Mary's Navy 
7Tailors in North Chicago, a job that she loved for 35 years; 
8she enjoyed meeting and helping sailors, which she considered 
9her other family; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dorothy Such was affectionately known by many  as 
11"Grandma Dorothy"; every family occasion and holiday was spent 
12together with loved ones; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dorothy Such was preceded in death by her husband 
14of 45 years, Stanley; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dorothy Such was devoted to her children, Suzanne 
16(Robert) Nyck and Kenneth, and her grandchildren, Christina 
17(Don) Perry and Jennifer (Tom) Andrzejewski; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Dorothy Marie Such and extend our sincere condolences to her 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
