| 4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 12-21.21 as follows:

| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/12-21.21 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 12-21.21. Federal waiver or State Plan amendment. The |
| 8 | | Department of Healthcare and Family Services and the Department |
| 9 | | of Human Services shall jointly submit the necessary |
| 10 | | application to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid |
| 11 | | Services for a waiver or State Plan amendment to allow remote |
| 12 | | monitoring and support services as a waiver-reimbursable |
| 13 | | service for persons with intellectual and developmental |
| 14 | | disabilities. The application shall be submitted no later than |
| 15 | | January 1, 2021. |
| 16 | | No later than July 1, 2021, the Department of Human |
