| 4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Power Agency Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 1-135 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 1-135. Demand response options. The Illinois Power |
| 8 | | Agency shall conduct at least one workshop and issue a report |
| 9 | | on the level of demand response resources in the Illinois |
| 10 | | capacity markets and the benefits that demand response brings |
| 11 | | to wholesale markets and demand response providers, and |
| 12 | | identify barriers to market participation by consumers. The |
| 13 | | report under this Section shall be submitted to the Governor |
| 14 | | and the General Assembly, as well as posted on the Internet |
| 15 | | website of the Agency, on or before March 1, 2020. This Section |
| 16 | | is repealed on January 1, 2021.
