HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kevin 
4James Murphy of Arlington Heights, who passed away on August 6, 
52020; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Kevin Murphy was born on March 26, 1937; he 
7married Margaret Schirmer; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kevin Murphy was a successful heating and plumbing 
9salesman for Columbia Pipe and Supply Company in Chicago; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Kevin Murphy loved the company of others, whether 
11he was at his local tavern or his lake house in Wisconsin that 
12he built with his wife; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Kevin Murphy was the loving husband to his wife of 
1460 years, Margaret Murphy; he was the affectionate father of 
15Patrick Murphy, Kevin (Jill) Murphy, and Matt (Julie) Murphy; 
16he was the beloved grandfather of Brandon, Jack, Timothy, 
17Jessica, Kate, Erin, Molly, Kevin, John, and Colleen; he was 
18the dear brother of Maureen (the late Lawrence) Cahill, the 
19late William (the late Shirley) Murphy, and the late Roger 
20(Laura) Murphy; and he was the uncle of many; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Kevin James Murphy and extend our 
4sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
5and loved him; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Kevin Murphy as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
