HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Massac Junior High 
4School girls basketball team, the Lady Trojans, on winning the 
52019 and the 2020 Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic 
6Association Class L State Championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, On January 26th, 2019 the Lady Trojans won a 44-38 
8victory over Hamilton County Junior High School at Rend Lake 
9College; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, On February 1st, 2020 the Lady Trojans won a 47-38 
11victory over Centralia Junior High School; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Lady Trojans finished with records 24-5 in the 
132018-2019 season and 25-2 in the 2019-2020 season; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The Lady Trojans have been led in both seasons by 
15Coach Abby Kaylor and Coach Mallory McVey; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The Lady Trojans are Victoria Swafford, Trinity 
17Lott, Monique Hart, Josie Walker, Celiegh Culver, Natalie 
18Taylor, Autumn Russell, Olivia Farmer, Sophie Bormann, Libby 
19Conkle, Adalyn Gower, Brooklynn Burnett, Emma Brugger, Elise 
20Coakley, Clara Elliott, Katie Frazine, Hannah Heine, Kaity

1Holley, Larkin Korte, and Gracie Turner; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
3HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate the Massac Junior High School girls basketball 
5team, the Lady Trojans, on winning the 2019 and the 2020 
6Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association 
7Class L State Championship, and we hold them up as models of 
8hard work, dedication, and team spirit; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
10presented to Coach Abby Kaylor, Coach Mallory McVey, and Massac 
11Junior High School Principal Laura Hayes as a symbol of our 
12respect and esteem.
