HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Willows Academy 
4volleyball team on winning the 2019 Class 1A Regional 
5Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Willows Academy defeated  Woodlands Academy in 
7three sets by the scores of 15-25, 25-17, and 27-25; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Willows Academy compiled a season record of 29 
9wins, 9 losses, and one tie, the best record in school history; 
10it is also the most wins in school history; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Willows Academy volleyball team is coached by 
12Head Coach Michelle D'Amico and Assistant Coach Simone Brown  
13and supported by Athletic Director Paul Chanan, Head of School 
14Dr. Jamie Vasquez, and Athletic Trainer Kathryn Turnquist; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, The members of the Willows Academy volleyball team 
16are Natala Cassata, Ashleigh Fischer, Olivia Maso, Talia Maso, 
17Libby Clark, Barbara Burns, Kamila Kawa, Molly Murray, Ana 
18Kagan, Julia Massey, Carmen Severino, Anna Scherer, Eleanor 
19Cassata, and Mary Grace Kenny; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE

1HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate the Willows Academy volleyball team on winning 
3the 2019 Class 1A Regional Championship, and we wish them many 
4more successful years; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
6presented to the members, coaches, and staff of the Willows 
7Academy volleyball team as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
