HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, On September 21, 1979, Dick Levi, Roger Ray, and 
3Bob Shoup opened their business, Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) 
4in Springfield, as a local computer consulting company with the 
5goal of providing the best solutions for its customers; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Forty years later, their roots have remained in 
7Springfield, and LRS has become a global provider of 
8information technology solutions throughout North America, 
9Europe, Asia, and Australia; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, LRS's commitment to customer service and to 
11providing the best solution for the best value has been the 
12company's foundation since day one, and they have never strayed 
13from that vision; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, LRS's services and divisions have expanded to 
15include Enterprise Output Management, Consulting Services, 
16Retirement Solutions, Web Solutions, IT Solutions, Education 
17Services, Capella Technologies, Diversified Yacht Services, 
18and Central Illinois Security, Inc.; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The heart of LRS is composed of more than 900 
20people, which gives the company its competitive advantage; 
21these team members are the ones who allow LRS to continue to

1grow and evolve; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, LRS has been a quiet, yet strong, supporter of the 
3community; Springfield is the city it is today because of the 
4families and businesses, like LRS, who have made Springfield 
5their home; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, LRS has stayed true to the statement made by 
7President Abraham Lincoln, "Determine that the thing can and 
8shall be done, and then we shall find the way"; therefore, be 
9it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
11HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
12we congratulate Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. on the occasion of its 
1340th anniversary and wish the company many more successful 
14years; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to LRS as an expression of our esteem and respect.
