HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Laborers International Union of North America 
3Local 362 McLean County, Illinois is celebrating 100 years of 
4service to their members and the community in March 2019; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 has uplifted generations of 
6local workers, procuring better wages, job representation, 
7training opportunities, and health and pension benefits; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 is a community leader, 
9providing countless hours of volunteer service on donated labor 
10projects, boards, commissions, and in elected and appointed 
11offices; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 represents a diverse 
13membership, with an open door to applicants of all backgrounds, 
14representing construction, public, and private sector workers; 
15and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Laborers Local 362 provides leadership to the 
17local, regional, and international levels of the labor 
18movement; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
20HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1we congratulate Laborers International Union of North America 
2Local 362 McLean County, Illinois for 100 years of  service to 
3their members and their community, commend their work, and wish 
4them success in their second century; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Laborers Local 362 as an expression for our esteem 
7and respect.
