<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>725 ILCS 120/4.5</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act. Provides that a police officer shall complete a written report upon receiving: (1) an allegation by a person that the person has been a victim of actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery; (2) information from hospital or medical personnel about injuries inflicted upon the victim of domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery, or an attempt to commit domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery; or (3) information from a witness who personally observed what appeared to be actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery. Provides that if the actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery occurred in another jurisdiction, the police officer taking the report must submit the report to the law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction where the actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery occurred within 24 hours of receiving information about incident. Provides that within 24 hours of receiving a report from a law enforcement agency in another jurisdiction, the law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction where the actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery occurred shall submit written confirmation to the law enforcement agency that wrote the report and shall arrange a meeting in the jurisdiction where the report was taken with the officer who wrote the report and the victim or witness of the actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery. Provides that no police officer shall require a victim of actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery to submit to an interview. Provides that all law enforcement agencies shall ensure that all officers responding to or investigating a complaint of actual or attempted domestic battery or aggravated domestic battery have experience and training in investigating those cases.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
