SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Del W. Felger of Moline, who passed away 
4on December 12, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Del Felger was born in Norfolk, Nebraska to 
6Delbert A. and Elna Murphy Felger on December 14, 1936; he 
7graduated from Norfolk High School in 1955, where he was 
8captain of the basketball team; he married Janice Ehrichs in 
9Norfolk on October  3, 1956 and served in the U.S. Navy from 
101956 to 1960; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Del Felger worked as an electrician at the Rock 
12Island Lines and later at International Harvester Case IH for 
1325 years; he retired in September of 1993; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Del Felger had a passion for basketball and other 
15sports; he was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football 
16team; he was a skilled handyman and enjoyed trips home to 
17Norfolk, boating with friends, time outdoors, cats,  and drives 
18through the country with Jan; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Del Felger was preceded in death by his parents; 
20and

1    WHEREAS, Del Felger is survived by his wife of 62 years, 
2Jan, and  his children, Donald (Theresa) Felger, Gordie Felger 
3(Kristen Aller), and Vickie Felger (Eric Brown); therefore, be 
4it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Del W. Felger and extend our sincere condolences to his family, 
8friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Del Felger as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
