SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lorraine M. Fengel of Canton, who passed 
4away on July 15, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was born in Estherville, Iowa to 
6Jimmy and Vivian (Kathman) Walsh on April 26, 1932; she married 
7Blake Fengel in Canton on June 12, 1954; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel worked for AT&T as an operator and 
9service representative; she was a member of the Telephone 
10Pioneer Club; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was a member of St. Mary's 
12Catholic Church in Canton, Sigma Phi Gamma, and the 
13Communication Workers Association; she loved china painting 
14and bowling; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel was preceded in death by her 
16parents and her sisters, Carol Peacock and Marilyn Laird; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lorraine Fengel is survived by her husband, Blake; 
18her son, Brian (Tanya) Fengel; her sisters, Dixie Guss and Judy 
19Jenkins; and her grandchildren, Emily and Blake Fengel;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Lorraine M. Fengel and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Lorraine Fengel as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
