| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert O. Grubaugh of Moline, who passed |
| 4 | | away on November 8, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was born in Aurora to Oscar and |
| 6 | | Amy Grubaugh on April 14, 1926; at the age of 17, he enlisted |
| 7 | | in the United States Navy and served during World War II; upon |
| 8 | | his return, he finished high school and then enrolled in a |
| 9 | | Christian college in Texas, where he was valedictorian of his |
| 10 | | graduating class; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh worked in public relations and |
| 12 | | marketing at Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Co., Davenport; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was a member of the American |
| 14 | | Legion Post 246, Moline; he also supported the ASPCA and |
| 15 | | Shriners Hospitals for Children; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was preceded in death by his |
| 17 | | parents; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jill Grubaugh; |
| 18 | | and his sister, Shirley Mitchell; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh is survived by his sons, Robert |
| 20 | | (Marina) Fatchett and Jeffery Grubaugh; his granddaughters, |
