SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John W. Jespersen of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on November 10, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Jespersen was born in Luverne, North Dakota 
6to Louis and Jennie Porse Jespersen on September 30, 1923; he 
7was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World 
8War II; he married Phyllis Kautz in Minnesota on November 16, 
91946; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, John Jespersen owned Team Electronics in Rock 
11Island; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John Jespersen was a member of the Vikings Club, 
13Moline and the Moline American Legion; he was a former member 
14of the Moline Elks Lodge; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, John Jespersen was preceded in death by his 
16parents; his four sisters; and his four brothers; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, John Jespersen is survived by his wife, Phyllis; 
18his children, Diane (Larry) Requet, Barbara (Thomas) Warren, 
19and Wayne Jespersen; his grandchildren, Keith (Rachel), 
20Adrienne, Jillian, and Juli; his great-grandchildren, Elias,

1Eden, and Ethan; and his many other loving family members and 
2friends; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5John W. Jespersen and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of John Jespersen as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
