SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Anthony "Dan" Loizzo of Lake Forest, who 
4passed away on October 13, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Loizzo was born in Highland  Park to Vincenzo 
6and Maria (DeBartolo) Loizzo  on April 8, 1929; he served during 
7the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 with the 8th Army, Seoul, 
8Korea; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dan Loizzo retired as vice president of Menoni & 
10Mocogni, Inc. in Highland Park; he was the corporate secretary 
11of the former Dealers Ready Mix in Highland Park; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Dan Loizzo was a member of Highland Park V.F.W. 
13Post #4737, the Highwood Bocce Club, the Highland Park Moose 
14Lodge, the Naples  Italian  American  Foundation in Naples, 
15Florida, and the St.  Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Dan Loizzo was preceded in death by his parents; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Dan Loizzo is survived by his wife of 57 years, 
20Marjorie; his daughters, Toni (Randy) McCarten, Patricia

1(Robert) Hinton, and Martha Ehmann; his sons, Joseph (Gina), 
2Daniel, Thomas, Michael (Jamie), and John (Amy); 15 
3grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Anthony "Dan" Loizzo of Lake Forest and extend our sincere 
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
8him; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Dan Loizzo as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
