| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of William A. "Bill" Myers of Normal, who |
| 4 | | passed away on October 4, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers was born in Bloomington to Gordon W. |
| 6 | | and Phillis Eileen Purcell Myers on July 31, 1957; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Bloomington High School in 1975; he married Elizabeth |
| 8 | | "Betsy" Anne Shaw at the Washington D.C. Temple in Kensington, |
| 9 | | Maryland on December 29, 1976; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers worked for the Bloomington Housing |
| 11 | | Authority for over 30 years; he retired as the Director of |
| 12 | | Technical Services in January 2018; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Myers was an active member of the Church of |
| 14 | | Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others |
| 15 | | through various callings in the church; he was also active in |
| 16 | | the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal; he was a past |
| 17 | | board member of the YMCA, a past participant in Leadership |
| 18 | | McLean County, a Cardinal Youth Football volunteer, and a BNGSA |
| 19 | | Board member and coach; he was also involved with the |
| 20 | | activities of his children and grandchildren; his greatest love |
| 21 | | was to love others and to serve righteously; and
