SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Debra J. Halas of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on August 28, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Debra Halas was born in Waukegan to Michael and 
6Dorothy (Setterman) Halas on July 18, 1951; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Debra Halas served on the Lake County Board for 
8many years;  she was also involved with the Friends of the 
9Genessee Theatre Board, where she served for almost 40 years; 
10and
  
 
  
11    WHEREAS, Debra Halas was preceded in death by her parents; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Debra Halas is survived by her brother, Doug 
14(Launa) Halas; her sister, Pamela Freeman; and her niece, Sarah 
15(Daniel) May; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Debra J. Halas, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
