SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jerry L. Mason of Moline, who passed away 
4on June 20, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Mason was born in Fort Sheridan to Frank and 
6Alma Bunting Mason on December 22, 1935; he was a veteran of 
7the United States Air Force; he married Maryanne Whitgrove in 
8Joliet; he later married Patricia Lane Storbeck in Moline on 
9August 15, 1992; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jerry Mason retired from the Rock Island Arsenal; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerry Mason attended Riverside United Methodist 
13Church in Moline; he was a member of the Masonic Madison Lodge 
14175, Joliet, the Oakwood Country Club, and the Coal Valley and 
15Rock Island Elks; he enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, and 
16working on home projects; and
  
 
  
17    WHEREAS, Jerry Mason is survived by his wife, Patricia; his 
18children, Chris (Anna) Mason and Katie (Jeff) Moler; his 
19stepsons, Chris (Joanne) Storbeck and Bob (Rebecca) Storbeck; 
20his grandchildren, Ellie Moler and Tanner, Thomas, and Tate 
21Storbeck; his sister, Julie (Phil) Boersma; and his brother,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Jerry L. Mason and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Jerry Mason as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
