SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald E. "Don" Mullins of Moline, who 
4passed away on June 30, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Don Mullins was born in Green Castle, Missouri to 
6Earl and Grace (Swanson) Mullins on March 26, 1937; he was a 
7veteran of the United States Army; he married Wilma Atherton, 
8and she preceded him in death; he later married Norma J. Estes 
9in Coal Valley on April 25, 1998; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Don Mullins worked at John Deere and retired after 
1130 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Don Mullins attended Eagle Summit Church; he 
13enjoyed fishing and shrimping in Florida and spending time with 
14his family; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Don Mullins was preceded in death by his first 
16wife, Wilma; his parents; his stepdaughter, Linda Arnett; his 
17two brothers; and his three sisters; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Don Mullins is survived by his wife, Norma; his 
19stepdaughter, Cathy Atherton; his stepson, Randy (Chris) 
20Atherton; his stepson-in-law, Gary Arnett; his

1stepgrandchildren, Ben Arnett and Brian Arnett; his 
2stepdaughter, Carol (Gary) Buck; his stepsons, Tim (Fran) Estes 
3and Jon (Tabatha) Estes; his stepdaughter, Leia (Tom) Peterson; 
4his ten stepgrandchildren; his seven stepgreat-grandchildren; 
5his special cousin, Wilma; and his special friend, Dr. Ed 
6Clemmons; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Donald E. "Don" Mullins and extend our sincere condolences to 
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Don Mullins as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
