SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Harrigan, who passed 
4away on May 4, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was born in Joliet to William F. and 
6Margaret (Ruettiger) Harrigan on April 19, 1940; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was formerly employed as a business 
8manager for the Chicago Ridge School District; and
  
 
  
9    WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan was preceded in death by in death by 
10his parents; his  sister, Marilyn Carson; and his stepson, 
11Edward A. Gans; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Harrigan is survived by his wife, Doris J. 
13(Robbins) Harrigan; his  children, Charles (Jen) Harrigan, 
14Margaret (Paul) Callaghan, and Christopher (Milica Jovic) 
15Harrigan; his stepsons, William K. (Diane) Gans and Matthew J. 
16(Beverly) Gans; his  stepdaughter-in-law, Marilyn (the late 
17Edward A.) Gans; five grandchildren and numerous 
18stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; his  brothers, 
19James Harrigan and Richard (Beth) Harrigan; his  sister, 
20Kathleen (Dean) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3William R. "Bill" Harrigan, and extend our sincere condolences 
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Bill Harrigan as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
