| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death Zachary A. "Zac" Short, who passed away on |
| 4 | | February 15, 2018; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was born in Phoenix to Richard and |
| 6 | | Judith (Austin) Short on June 18, 1990; he moved to Illinois |
| 7 | | with his family in 1997 and graduated from Minooka Community |
| 8 | | High School in 2008; he attended Arizona State University, |
| 9 | | where he studied in the digital culture program in the School |
| 10 | | of Arts, Media and Engineering; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short co-founded and operated an apparel |
| 12 | | printing business and worked in various capacities in the |
| 13 | | restaurant industry; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was an avid disc golfer and a loyal |
| 15 | | Chicago Cubs fan; he loved spending time with his family and |
| 16 | | friends, particularly his younger brother, Alexander, and his |
| 17 | | many cousins; he will be remembered for his constant smile and |
| 18 | | for his huge heart and willingness to help anyone he could; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was preceded in death by his |
| 20 | | grandparents, Willard J. Short, William E. Austin Jr., and |
| 21 | | Geraldine A. Austin, and his uncle, Steven Allmandinger; and
