SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dennis C. Whicker Jr. of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on February 2, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Whicker was born in Rock Island to Dennis 
6C. Whicker Sr. and Dianne Peasley on February 17, 1965; he 
7served in the U.S. Army and married Tammara S. Britcher in 
8Moline on October 22, 1988; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dennis Whicker worked as a sheriff's deputy and 
10later a correctional officer with Rock Island County; he had 
11also been employed as a jeweler with McGiverns Jewelry Store; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dennis Whicker was a past member and trustee of 
14the Fraternal Order of Police District 12 and the Trio Lodge in 
15Rock Island; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dennis Whicker was preceded in death by his 
17father, Dennis Whicker Sr.; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dennis Whicker is survived by his wife, Tammy; his 
19children, Joshua and Amanda Whicker; his granddaughter, 
20Joshlynn; his mother, Dianne Paulsgrove; his stepfather, Lyle

1Paulsgrove; his stepmother, Mary Whicker; his siblings, Patty 
2Fisher, Tiffany (Tom) Sanborn, Todd Whicker, and Jimmy (Val) 
3Paulsgrove; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; 
4therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Dennis C. Whicker Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to 
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Dennis Whicker as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
