| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert D. "Bobby" Thrasher Sr. of |
| 4 | | Winthrop Harbor, who passed away on October 6, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Thrasher was born in Campbell, Missouri to |
| 6 | | Clarence and Alpha Roark Thrasher on October 10, 1941; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Thrasher began his employment with American |
| 8 | | Motors; later, he began his own business, Bob's Union 76, in |
| 9 | | Zion; following that, he worked for Frank's Auto Repair and |
| 10 | | ACME Brick Supply; he was a member of Teamsters Local 301; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Thrasher was an accomplished singer and song |
| 12 | | writer, recording many albums with his bands, "Bobby Thrasher |
| 13 | | and the Foxfire", "The Gallery", the "Bosa Novas", and "The |
| 14 | | Rockin Corvettes"; he played in many local establishments and |
| 15 | | was the house band for "Clark's Lounge"; he loved working on |
| 16 | | his cars and was a big Harley Davidson enthusiast; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bobby Thrasher was preceded in death by his |
| 18 | | parents; his sisters, Betty (Charles) Williams, Wanda |
| 19 | | Andersen, and Dora Jean; his nephew, Barry Anderson; his |
| 20 | | granddaughter, Michelle Theresa Thrasher; and his special |
| 21 | | brothers-in-law, Ronald Kuchera, Wayne Andersen, and Junior |
