| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of William A. Robinson Sr. of Richmond, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 25, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Robinson was born in Oak Park to William |
| 6 | | and Helen (Hubbell) Robinson on June 9, 1931; he served in the |
| 7 | | United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 41-04 in Fox Lake |
| 8 | | and Flotilla 39-02 in Des Plaines; he married Marilyn Bartlett |
| 9 | | in Woodstock on April 4, 1970; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, William Robinson was employed as an electrical |
| 11 | | engineer at Sun Electric, Oak Industries, the Northrup Corp. |
| 12 | | and Actown for over 35 years, retiring in 1989; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, William Robinson was a member of St. Joseph |
| 14 | | Catholic Church of Richmond, spending many years in the choir |
| 15 | | and teaching CCD classes; he was an assistant Pack Leader for |
| 16 | | Cub Scout Troop 340, taught boating classes at McHenry County |
| 17 | | College, and was a member of the McHenry Moose Lodge; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, William Robinson was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | wife, Marilyn; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, William Robinson is survived by his children, |
|

| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 17 | | William A. Robinson Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 18 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 19 | | further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 | | presented to the family of William Robinson as an expression of |
| 22 | | our deepest sympathy.
